This simple drink has a few stories behind it. Some says that the drink and its name , to a bartender at Confetti’s Bar in Florida. Ted Pizio  accepted the challenge of selling most peach schnapps and sold the most peach schnapps in the area as part of the promotion for the new spirit. He created the fruity cocktail and named it sex on the beach as he thought sex and beaches were more popular in tourists crowds.  We don’t know exactly where the drink originated, many says the Cocktail may have been invented when a bartender combined a Fuzzy Navel ( peach schnapps and orange juice) with a Cape coddler ( vodka and cranberry juice).

Put those two drinks together, and all the components of the Sex on the Beach are ready. The Sex on the Beach was a mainstay of 1980s and 1990s Cocktail menus and it is still a popular drink at beach bars and a favourite among vacationers.
The Cocktail is very simple and easy to make, so you should try mixing one for your next cocktail party. It’s a perfect drink for relaxing and refreshing on a hot afternoon and it’s also good for a night out dancing.
